The whole week Sew,mama, sew published posts about Paper piecing.
The most interesting for for me was Origami animal blocks.
Inspired by them I made similar pattern based on tangram - the Chinese puzzle game.
The are many interesting figures, but I have chosen these because of Easter.
You can download the pattern FREE from here.
Embroider by hand Happy Easter!
Enjoy!
If you are interested check soon for other Tangram patterns.

The butterfly effect
The butterfly effect is a term used in chaos theory to describe how small changes to a seemingly unrelated thing or condition (also known as an initial condition) can affect large, complex systems.
In other words what you made will come back to you.
The Holy Bible says
ECCLESIASTES 11:1
Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days
Today I give a pattern+Tutorial on Sew,mam, sew for this butterfly.
And hoping my things will go better. I BELIEVE!
Special thanks To Kristin from Sew,mama, sew that introduced me.
A small country like Bulgaria will be known today.
Enjoy and happy sewing!

Sail away
My last love - paper piecing (paper foundation) catch me stronger and stronger.
Living in a mountain town I was inspired by sea and beach and designed some blocks associated with sea and ocean.
I like the lighthouse and umbrella very much. The sand looks so real.
Add SEA letters, stripes and corresponding quilting.
Something like waves and sands. And algae and sea plants between letters, of course.
I have an idea to stitch a tiny rope outside, but still thinking of this.

Spring and Summer
This weekend looking at some patchwork Magazines, I found a workshop I wanted to try.
Ineke van Unen - have you heard this name?
I was totally inspired. I need to create a wall hanging in yellow orange colours, but inserted some green and blue as a reminder for Spring.
The result looks not bad.
First I made the piece with pleats. Some blue for sky, some green for grass.
Then combined some bright yellow, yellow, orange, deep orange. Simply cut in various shapes and sew.

And all the time thought how shall I quilt it.
I have a little problem with my free motion foot, so I have to use it very rarely until I buy a new one. I had to sew with walking foot.
The finished work after one hour quilting.
What about back? It is very funny fabric, too.
Ready for hanging.
Oh, I added a label, but I forgotten to take a picture.
nyway it is written in Bulgarian.

Rainbow Easter egg
Easter eggs are always big motive force for imagination.
Many projects, many designs.
Few minutes ago I saw an interesting project on Sew,mama, sew - one of blogs I follow.
And remember about my Easter egg pattern.
I have made a rainbow egg.
Do you like it?
I offer a patterns in my Etsy shop or Craftsy shop.
It looks better with solid fabric than with prints.
You can try both versions.
Happy Easter!

Oh Come Spring, please
I am bored with winter.
So long, so cold, so much snow.
I want to feel sunshine and hear bird's singing.
Sitting in warm room created this spring picture for my Mum.
She told me a week ago she need a hanging for the wall.
I made this one - finished size 12 x 16 in (30 x 40 cm)
It is easy to make, none of the stripes are equal length.
Cut some blue and some green stripes about 1,5-2 inches.
Arrange them on the table.

Sew every neighboring blue and green stripe at short side and then all stripes at long side.
The grass and sky are finished.
Now we will make flowers.
Cut some circled 3 inches for Yo-yo, some hexagones - 1 big and 7 smaller. Sew them to make such flowers. Add some buttons.
Place on the finished top and attach blind stitch.
Trim with wavy lines, put batting and back fabric, turn over.
The last work I have to do is quilting. I have an idea for hand stitched flower stalks.
The sky quilting rushed into my head and I made it like whirls.
No obligatory!
Enjoy and have fun!
