A mat for a friend

I have a friend of mine who has a birthday on 29 of February.
He needs a special gift.
I collect different leftovers and make a mat - long planned as a gift.

Good for me to practice some quilting stitches.

Easy gift decoration for every occasion

Simply and easy decoration of a basket. This time it was for a birthday present. You can use for any basket, even for Easter eggs basket.

You need color papers, scissors, tape (double sided), a basket.
Make a pattern for a heart, fold the papers and cut some hearts.

 

Cut two small strips and stitch on the first heart.

 

Remove the tape and stitch the second heart, folded in a half.

Repeat with all the hearts different colors. I choose 4, but you can use 5 or 6.

Leave the last two heart free. You will stitch them round the basket handle. 

Make so many shapes as you like to cover the handle.

Then put inside a bottle of wine, different fruits  and your present is ready. Enjoy!
