Picture wall hanging

My friends for Yorkshire arrived and I want to make something special for them.
Sometimes they stay here one month and I think they miss their native Yorkshire.
The Yorkshire dales - absolutely beautiful picture as I have seen some years ago and still remember.
I found an advertizing magazine with a amazing cover.
Gather some fabrics and began cut and build a picture.
I like these moments when looking for the proper color and shape.
Especially adore cutting and sewing wavy lines. I have found how to do this 3 years ago from Alicia Merrett tutorial.

I have began with the stone hedge, then grass, trees and follow the picture.
After some hours I have the following result.
You might ask for a picture with quilting?
I have finished but it is too late to take a good picture, so wait till tommorow.

  1. I am so grateful for you pointing me in the direction of Alicia Merrett, what an inspiring artist! I just watched her YouTube videos on curved piecing and am itching to give it a go... almost as much as I'm looking forward to seeing your finished piece! Lovely stuff :-)
