Notebook from recycled packing lump sugar box

Another my passion except patchwork and fabrics is paper. I become a great pleasure when give a new life to packing of chocolates, sugar, tea etc.  Discovering book binding I began to make notebooks and journals. There are several methods of binding - coptic, Ethiopian, Japanese, long-stitch, secret Belgian, calf-binding (“leather-bound”).

I called this project -  Second life for used wrapping cover.

I cut the covers from box and some sheets from paper or cardboard (depends what sheets I have). This time they were rest from a previous project. I choose japanese binding now.
Look at this clip for instructions. Very simple and easy.

Well done work or simply a miracle

Well I made it - the baby quilt I promised a friend of mine.
This afternoon I made last quilting stitches by my machine and made some photos. I decide to make a call to the future mammy. She explained me she has had a son 2 hours earlier.
What a miracle! I have to add only the name of the young man - Anton.
I knew he will be a boy, so I planed a blue quilt.
I envy a little bit the baby - such a warm and soft quilt and little more the mother.
But I am so happy I could make such adorable baby quilt.
